Welcome To Experience The World Different

In these pages, you will find the opportunity to educate yourself a little about the hypnosis and psychotherapy mix which has been named hypnotherapy.

Since you are browsing this page, you are probably looking for some positive change in your life, or perhaps you are curious about hypnosis.

Hypnosis is a wonderful tool for good, and has been used for healing (under various names) as long as human beings have been in existence.  We have all heard of the placebo effect – imagine a focused use of the placebo effect. Hypnosis combined with psychotherapy can have dramatic results. Hypnosis is not magic, there are no miracles. However, if there are subconscious reasons for something that is having a negative impact on your life, hypnosis combined with analytical therapy, and some work on the part of the client has had very beneficial results for lots and lots of people.

Contrary to popular belief, hypnotists do not have any power over people. Hypnosis is a consent state. In an ethical and clinical setting, trust between therapist and client has to be at a very high level. Hypnosis is perfectly safe, there are lots of hypnotists, and some hypnotists have more training than others. You may be sure that if anyone somehow managed to do any harm using hypnosis, the media would make a huge sensation of it! Hypnosis is an enhanced learning state, and a person under hypnosis tends to be more open minded. Your mind is always on guard, and will leap to your defence if it perceives any threat.

Members of the Institute of Clinical Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy (I.C.H.P) are highly trained, ethical hypnotherapists. (Click Here for the I.C.H.P. code of ethics).

Who are the I.C.H.P.(Institute of Clinical Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy)?

Since the approval of Clinical Hypnosis in the 1950’s by the American Medical Association, hundreds of ethical associations have been training their members in hypnosis. Millions of people have found hypnosis to be an effective way to stop smoking, lose weight and to change their lives.

The Institute of Clinical Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy was established in 1979. Over that period of time it has dedicated itself to the research and development of Hypnotherapy. All our members are examination qualified and have obtained Diploma’s and Advanced Diploma’s in Clinical Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy. So, you can be assured you are getting the best that Hypnosis has to offer.
